The saga continues. Sweet Thing is as excited about this trip as I am. There is so much to see in Vietnam, most of which I could not even think of when last there ... mid-June until mid-July 2010. When I was last there the mercury crept well up into the 40's and it was very humid. Now it runs in the late teens to early twenties ... perfect ST weather. She is pleased about only having to pack summer clothes. She found the carrying of multi-season clothing to Europe for 4 weeks was a nuisance.

A restful night

We both had a reasonably good rest, even though ST found the bed too hard. As expected we woke up to a very nice view from the hotel waterfront. Breakfast was weak but we food something to eat anyways. Seinfeld followed us here. We need more coffee so ask one of the servers, so we thought, but it turned out to be one of the guests. It reminded me of once asking an Asian mailman on the street in NYC if he knew the location of the nearest Chinese restaurant. He was quite offended and berated me for assuming that "just because I am Asian why would you assume I know where it is!!". It was the same time a friend yelled out of a passing taxicab as he was transporting a cigar-store Indian home (season 5 episode 10).

We will hang by the pool until just before 11 and are then getting picked up for the trip to the boat. And the t-shirt debacle continues. I messed up my one and only t-shirt at dinner last night ... hopefully I will grab one before hitting the boat in Halong Bay.

The hired quests just appeared for breakfast ... the place is empty so these props help convince us to tell everyone how busy it was here.
