The saga continues. Sweet Thing is as excited about this trip as I am. There is so much to see in Vietnam, most of which I could not even think of when last there ... mid-June until mid-July 2010. When I was last there the mercury crept well up into the 40's and it was very humid. Now it runs in the late teens to early twenties ... perfect ST weather. She is pleased about only having to pack summer clothes. She found the carrying of multi-season clothing to Europe for 4 weeks was a nuisance.

Optimistic but realistic

It is very overcast again today but the rain starts and stops. We dipped our toes in the sea again and ST commented that it was not as cold as I had reported. Today will be a lazy day and we will head off to Hoi An for a 6PM cooking class. We both wondered how much shorter we would have planned to stay in Hoi An if we knew there was such a likelihood it would be as wet as it is. Unlike Ethiopia, there is apparently four seasons here, not the same as the dry/wet split for the complete year I experienced in Africa. The mercury seems to be hovering around 20 plus degrees which in itself is good and, as so eloquently put by my ST, is good on its own.
