The good, the bad, and the ugly

It was a whirlwind of activity with my lovely Sweet Thing for the past 16 days flitting around Vietnam. I know she valued the opportunity to see this part of the world for the first time. Asia for ST so far was Israel (I think that's all). It is too early for the Vietnam top 10 that I know you are all awaiting. However, I am going to go out on a limb and comment on Sweet Thing's stay in Vietnam (G)ood, (B)ad, and (U)gly ...

• G - Junie Vu, Junie Vu, Junie Vu, Junie Vu, Junie Vu, Junie Vu, Junie Vu, Junie Vu
• B - the breakfast room staff at the Horison (and they think they are working in a 5-star establishment)
• U - the service at the Holiday Villa where we stayed in Halong Bay
• G - the Bhaya cruise we took in Halong Bay
• B - the lack of storage for clothes in everywhere we stayed; ST used a big shelf in the ceramic floor tile series of storage compartments in Hoi An (a.k.a. the floor)
• U - the food at the first restaurant we ate at that Tuesday evening we arrived in Hanoi
• G - hospitality of the service industry in general
• B - the attendants in the market place stalls in Ho Chi Minh City tapping your arm to ensure you were aware it was time to buy something
• U - the traffic noise

Lunch at "I Love Friday" close to my office ... 80,000 VND
Taxi ride from office to the old quarter ... 50,000 VND
Leather boots ... 330,000 VND
Seeing Vietnam with my Sweet Thing ... priceless

In summary, I think my Sweet Thing would agree that the utmost best thing about Vietnam is Junie; the ultimate worst thing was the restaurant at the Holiday Villa ...
